nyc transit strike

I don't know whether or not to be supportive of the transit workers. alls i know is that i'm aching from head to foot from my 150 block trek from home (190/b'way) to work (42nd/8th ave). i have an unlimited metro card rendered usless, people aren't showing up to work, which puts most of the burden on my shoulders (why can't i just be a slacker and stay home?) and being broke and not being able to ride a cab is depressing at two o'clock in the morning when you're facing a daunting two hour walk back to your abode.

p.s., i bought my first christmas tree for my first apt and decorated it myself. i'm in love with it, and its not coming down until april dammit!
